HALLOWEEN FAMILY BARN DANCE, co-hosted by MiniFolk!
We have teamed up with our dear friends at MiniFolk to produce a souped-up version of our Family Barn Dances… and we’re so excited! Not only will we have 2 sessions of fun and easy dances for al the family, MiniFolk will be arranging loads of other activities and fun, including:
Spooktacular Autumn Arts & Crafts Tables
Mini Folk’s free flow craft table gets a Halloween makeover, filled with autumn colours, leaves, pumpkins, friendly ghosts, bats and other seasonal creatures. Little hands can cut, stick, colour and create at their own pace, with plenty of materials for children who prefer to follow their own imagination rather than a set activity.
Vivi the Bubble Fairy
Bubbleologist Vivi the Bubble Fairy brings a little magic to the afternoon with an interactive bubble show for young children. Expect giant bubbles, tiny bubbles, neon bubbles and plenty of opportunities for little ones to chase, pop, dance and get involved.
Halloween Face Painting
The face-painting corner will be ready for mini witches, pumpkins, cats, bats, monsters, fairies and anything else little imaginations can dream up. Children can choose something spooky, silly or simply colourful.
Why Mini Folk?
Mini Folk creates daytime cultural events designed for children and grown ups to enjoy together. Rather than expecting little ones to sit still, children are free to move between activities, make things, dance, explore and take part in their own way. It’s relaxed, creative and sociable, giving parents and carers a chance to enjoy a proper day out too.
No more missing gigs due to bedtime, and no need for little ears to hear only “children’s songs.” Mini Folk creates space where all ages can share in music, creativity and community.
All ages and abilities welcome... we're teach you the moves.. from really simple dances for the smallest kids to a couple of proper ones for the grown ups, come and get your folk on with Cut A Shine!
Suitable for children of all ages - we mix up the sets with dances for really small kids and some for bigger kids.
Timings
1pm - Doors Open and Lunch Ready
1:20 - 2pm First Set of Dances
2 - 2:20pm - Break - Bubble Show!
2:20 - 3:30 - Second Set of Dances
3:30 - 4pm - Kids Disco to finish

Whilst the music and dances come from predominantly Anglo-saxon and Celtic culture, everyone is welcome to come enjoy the dancing and experience these aspects of the folk culture of the British Isles. We welcome family units of any type and configuration. We want to bring everyone together to dance together, which is how it should be.
