There's a fire in the mountain, a burning iron age fort on the top of the horizon, emitting an orange glow that casts light through the valley of change – Cwmnewidion, lighting the oaks and ash, shimmering off the stream that flows under an old wooden bridge, and into a quadrangle of ancient stone buildings, nearly as old as the hills themselves.

An idyllic setting, deep in the hills that descend to the coast. A old stone farm house surrounded by a paddock of lush green grass, a wiggly path through the mossy oaks down into the valley and across a stream, and into a secret clearing in the forest where wild flowers grow.

A meeting of hearts and minds: from London The Magpie's Nest, Cut A Shine and the Midnight Specials, a huge selection of bands from Liverpool, and from Wales, folk heroes Fernhill headline.

Join us for a weekend of music, merriment and nature.

We invite you to a weekend in the wilderness of Wales. We're raising money for restoration of this lovely farm, that has recently benefited from council investment in footpaths and bridleways that have provided access to the magnificent surrounding country of Cwmnewidion.

Attractions include:
Camping in the paddock and swimming in the stream.
Huge communal marquee for kids activities in the camping field
Composting Loos
Local Ale and Ciders from our bar.
Food from our Camp Kitchen of local fare.
Huge Sunday Communal Feast and spit-roast of local meats.
Bands in the Barn.
Workshops in Barns
Camp fire and jam sessions in the secret clearing.

TRAVEL: We are arranging two coaches from London, and one from Liverpool, leaving on the Friday. Please get in touch to reserve your cost price travel – joe@cutashine.co.uk

The Exact Location of the site will be emailed to all ticket purchasers two days before the event. This is to ward off unwanted guests! For now, we can say it is 9 mile (15 mins) south of Aberystwyth.

We are arranging minibuses from Aberystwyth station to meet those wishing to travel by train (our preferred method of transport)

CHILDREN: (those needing to be accompanied by an adult):
up to 11 are free
11 - 17 £15

CAPACITY: This is a small event, and are numbers are limited. Please buy tickets if you intend to come.

READINESS: The festival site is in the most exquisite location in Mid Wales, near the Elan Valley, South of Aberystwyth (the scenery that inspired J.R.R. Tolkein's Middle Earth). It's beautiful, however, it's also rugged. We advise everyone to bring good footwear and rain coats, plus warm things to wear and sleep in. This is a festival and gathering for the seasoned and intrepid festival goer. We can't think of more beautiful terrain to spend the weekend in.
